Ford Raptor Bump Stop & Bypass Rack Guide | HRD
Bump stops and bypass racks: what's the difference?
Hydraulic bump stops help manage the end of suspension compression, while a bypass rack provides a dedicated mounting structure for additional shocks. These are related parts of an off-road suspension system, but they aren't interchangeable and they aren't always sold as one package.
Gen 1 HRD Bump Stop Kit
The HRD Gen 1 mounting kit uses weld-on brackets for compatible hydraulic bump stops. The bump stops themselves are listed separately, and welding is required. View the Gen 1 bump-stop mounting kit.
Gen 3 bolt-on mounting kit
The Gen 3 HRD kit is designed as a bolt-on mounting solution and has 35-package and 37-package choices. The hydraulic bump stops are still separate components. View the Gen 3 bolt-on kit.
HRD bypass racks
HRD's original bypass-rack information identifies frame welding, bed removal and specific shock hardware as part of the installation. The base bypass-rack listing requires the compatible bump-stop setup; an alternate Gen 1/2 package includes the HRD bump-stop mounting kit. The shock, mounting details, freight and any add-ons should be confirmed before ordering.
