Build your suspension around your truck

Suspension upgrades are not one-size-fits-all. Before selecting an HRD or FOX component, identify your Ford Raptor generation, existing shock package, wheel-and-tire setup, how you drive the truck, and whether fabrication or professional installation is available.

Start with the generation

Gen 1 Raptor — start with compatible control arms, steering, leaf springs and bump-stop mounting kits.
Gen 2 Raptor — verify whether the truck uses a Live Valve system. Some FOX products in the HRD catalog are specifically for 2017–2018 non-Live-Valve trucks.
Gen 3 Raptor — confirm the stock tire package, rear suspension components and any existing upgrades before selecting parts.

Control arms and suspension links

These components affect articulation, alignment and the way loads reach suspension mounts. HRD lists upper control arms, the Mini Travel lower-control-arm setup and a more extensive Mid-Travel package. Some require fabrication, wheel-offset clearance and coordinated shock selection. Shocks and bump stops

Shock compatibility depends on year and factory equipment. Hydraulic bump stops add controlled resistance near the end of suspension travel, but mounting cans, brackets and the bump stops themselves may be separate items. Explore shock and bump-stop components.

Rear springs and support

Rear leaf-spring changes and bed support components should be evaluated alongside load, use and mounting hardware rather than in isolation.

Before you place an order

Confirm your exact model year, generation and original shock configuration.
Confirm the wheel/tire size and clearance for steering or bypass hardware.
Check what comes in the kit versus separately priced shocks, bump stops, axles or accessories.
Review fabrication requirements, production timing and freight arrangements.
